I couldn’t resist a second post for today. If you’re one of my 50 subscribers, you’ll know I’ve been diving into the a,i, rabbit hole. I’m mainly evaluating programs and platforms I can utilize to create new content for my music and publications.
Many of these tools are amazing.
But, I’m also seeing a very casual attitude towards intellectual property of creators, musicians, graphic artist and more.
This video demonstrates the new tools available to add famous voices to songs and spoken word. There’s a line in this YouTube influencers presentation, where he says you can now freely download any YouTube music, remix it, add a new voice etc.
As I mentioned , the casual ‘borrowing’ of work created by others is certainly debatable pertaining to copyright and intellectual property ownership. I predict this will eventually hit the courts for debate.
Suno is an amazing music production a i platform. The tracks I hear, produce sound arrangements like the best professional studio projects I’ve heard. The mixes, eq, everything is well produced. These things take dollars and multiple hours to create.
I recently watched an interview with the CEO of this open a i platform Mumbo Jumbo.
They are very “non-transparent” in discussing the music, image, sound models that they utilize for these voices, songs, graphics, images etc. Are they data mining?
in my opinion, of coarse they have been mining everyone’s online post, music etc.
So, that’s it, BaDaBoom.
