I was impressed with the public display of written, printed and published materials, books and the Parisian respect of the word in print. These images are a tribute and my observation to that experience. This was 2006, not sure about today. I like the Shakespeare Books Store photo, I have no clue who that person was in the window. I didn’t go in, but I spent more time examining the building and decor. One of my favorite photos is the one with the image of the Ralph Steadman, Gonzo book. Ralph is the illustrator for the Hunter Thompson books including Fear and Loathing. The man behind the newspaper was taken on a Metro journey. All over Paris there are billboards and posters of events. Most are very artistic, it goes back decades with that concept and style. I think it was at The Louvre, I saw a great exhibit of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. It was amazing. I also visit his home/apartment as a historical presentation.
