First, if you like these images I’ve made it available on my web site. It’s a “pay what you like” 700mb or so, digital download. My web site is www.michaelwelchpublications.com
For this entry I decided to only include images with a single person, in the photo. I didn’t realize I had so many till now. A couple of my favorites are the mime and the accordion player. Both of those shots were taken in my first minutes from poping out from the Parisian underground Metro station. My first day, visiting and hiking from arrondissement to arrondissement. Location to location. The guitar player and lady street performer (also playing accordion) were both in Montmartre. The lady in the window, she was giving me the eyeball, when I snapped the shot. This house/location / apartment was where Hemingway lived 1922-1923 with his wife, Hadley. 74 rue du Cardinal. It’s known as Le Latin Quarter. I also visited places like this, authors and artist including, Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, Picasso and James Joyce. It was a fantastic day, this day. Enjoy
