To my 50 subscribers and others that follow my rants and sometimes regular post. Yeah, that 100 drummers I’ve seen and heard in my lifetime, came to a halt. Upon completing/ posting 60+, I decided to make another book. Yeah, so it’ll be “100 plus drummers etc….the audience and interest for something like this couldn’t be much smaller. But, that’s what I do. Those first 50 Drummer post were loosely thrown out there, so editing my Mumbo jumbo into something semi respectable is tough. If I knew I was going to need some skills I would have completed 7th grade English. When I wrote my memoir “Notes of a Young Drummer 1966-1969” the process included a trance like state to remember dates- years- states , gigs, people music . It was seriously a mind bender. Some of my memories for seeing and hearing notable drummers has been similar. The chronological order for certain time periods are foggy. A few entries of 100”plus” drummers will be a continuation of Notes from a Young Drummer…now as an Old Drummer.
I especially liked your note about Bobby Caldwell - Johnny Winter's drummer on the best album of my youth And Live!
