(Sept-1982) One morning…I got a call from head of talent booking. They ask if I was interested in a 2 day gig? I’m sure…I wasn’t their first call…but they needed a 2 day drummer for the about to be launched---EPCOT Pavillion, German Band. I did that gig from opening day---October 1, 1982 through 1987. With EPCOT opened…I played in the Fife and Drum group and the Dixieland Jazz Street Band. All sub gigs…when they needed someone. All of that financed my first 1984 LP record “Illegal Radio”

I must have been a good boy. I got another call to join a 2-day band performing at Magic Kingdom. I had subbed on the band. The leader liked the way I played. Maybe he recommended me for the gig. This would be a keyboard, electric bass, drum-set trio. We performed with a recorded track as the Disney characters performed their show. It was Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto, Bears, Minnie, Mickey and others. There were also lead boy/girl singers---MC’s.

It was my favorite Disney gig. Of coarse, it didn’t last very long---go figure. During my breaks…I would ride Space Mountain. It was better than I remembered from 1971. (You didn’t need an E ticket.
