Another compulsive post about music ai, as I deep dive and follow the progress of this technology. This kid, young successful YouTube influencer is very good.
But now to my impression and review of this brand new music ai platform. It’s quite amazing.
Yes, I believe it’s a derivative from evil data mining and ripping original artist, intellectual property.
Did I hear anything unique or new, no.
But, if you watch the video, I think the renditions of folk and country music is the best.It sounds like what I hear, in the world.
Also, the film, cinematic music is reputable. The John Williams and Hans Zimmer’s of that medium will have competition.
I also heard an interesting thing with a clip. If you prompt and input your own lyrics, the ai vocalist sings phrases that real humans would probably not do, or be able to do.
I find that interesting. And unique.
That’s a unique tool of ai music generation that is better (possibly) than trying to get a human (paid $$$) vocalist to step out of their cliched comfort zone, and sing an unusual phrase of lyrics. (If they can do it)
If and when that happens with more vocals and solo instruments, it will demonstrate the end is near for human performance. BaDaBoom
(Spotify recently added an ai generated category for their platform) which continues to pay $00.003 per stream , something like that.
I think the young man is wrong, it's terrible It's just like AI photography It's soulbless.... And it has some of the other issues of AI photography a smoothness to it a lack of human warmth or depth..... Will this be the future of music? I certainly hope not It certainly won't be the music of classical music, and it won't be the future of what we call Jazz either..... Will it work for television commercials and things like elevator music perhaps.
It's actually a form of muzak anyway.
